Daihatsu Mira / Cuore Avanzato TR-XX
Hi Guys, the time has come..
selling up the Dai as its now surplus to requirements and is just sat doing nothing which i see as a waste for such a niche little car.
car is on an R plate with 65530 miles showing on clock.
has previous accident damage so is down as a CAT C, but has been repaired.
car does need a little work doing as has pretty much been stood since i got a replacement clutch cable.
as mentioned, current mleage is 65530. had engine oil (fuchs titan xtr 5w-30) and filter change at 63000 and fresh denso ik27 spark plugs at 63412 miles.
recently had another (2nd hand) clutch cable fitted as original snapped and also driver side outer cv joint.
car has a couple of scabs coming through as shown in the images and a scuff on the side skirt. o/s rear quarter has a some rippling from some herbert that glanced the car while it was parked and didnt bother to stop !.
Car is a CAT C as about 3 weeks into owning it someone reversed a van into the driver side headlight, breaking the light, denting the bonnet and snapping the bumper. car was written off as insurance company "couldn't get the bits".
a new headlight was fitted and the bumper/ bonnet repaired. there are no bumper fitted lights (car didnt have any when i bought it) but mesh grilles with indicators installed.
car is in need of front discs and pads (the discs are in a real bad way, and as such can't reccomend driving the car anywhere as they are binding really bad - best to bring a trailer or flat bed to take it away)
only other fault i can think of is that the exhaust manifold has a crack (don't they all?!) which is blowing.
car has had a full set of toyo proxes with plenty of tread on them, has the rally wheels fitted, a stainless longlife exhaust system, hks style pod filter (original air box assembly included) after market boost gauge and momo steering wheel.
in light of the work the car needs, im offering it up for sale at £950 or nearest offer.
car is currently sorn and mot expired 07/03/12
forgot to put some contact details.
any questions etc either:

Any chance of putting an mot on it and doing the brakes?? Considering the one in devon with a wee bit of arch rust went for 1100 and a very tidy one just went on auto trader for 1400. The potential cost of moting, trailering away, and dealing with the rust etc and the bodywork damage makes it look quite expensive. i would make you an offer but i think it would be some way from 1200. Not with no mot though. Will keep looking.
i could mot it but that kind of defeats the object of selling at the price it is. obviously id have to put the cost of doing the brakes and the mot on top of the price. as it is, the car is a cheap doer-upperer.
But it's not a fully mote rust Fred one went for 1420 and a private ex one from a dealer was bought by someone on here with 53000 miles and a tiny bit of arch rust for 1100. So yes it's doer upper but it's by no means cheap as it stands. There are cars in better condition within 200 quid. Good luck with the sale.
chrisxr2 give shwa trxx a break...if you dont want to buy his car for that price then don't....!
would seem the other two that sold recently were absolute bargains - perhaps you should have gone after either of those??
Avanzato's are getting rarer and rarer so why should people give them away - even if they do need a fair bit of work sometimes the joy of rectifying those problems is half the enjoyment of the owning / driving.
I dont know either of you, just giving an Avanzato owning opinion....but best of luck to you Chris on finding a mint bargain and the same to you shwa trxx on the sale.
thanks pal, appreciate that.
as an aside, ive been doing a bit of parts catalogue scouring and according to ebc;
the discs are the same part number as:
sirion 98 - 05 1.0
sirion 00 - 05 1.3
move 98 on 1.0
the pads are the same part number as:
move 96 - 99 0.8
ebc list avanzato;
discs at £128.58 (pair)
pads at £38.83 (front set)
but if you look on ebay for sirion / move parts, ive found discs for as little as £18.00 each and pads at £21.00 per set
to my mind thats a cheap fix... even if you don't do the fitting yourself!
