hi cristian
years ago i used to work at a mitsubishi specialists and parts were also not available

with knocking or noisy driveshafts you can remove from car strip down and clean
then swap the metal balls from inner joint to the outer cv as they will have less wear

grease up well and you should get a bit more life from them

or send them away to companies like propshaft services etc

Hi Mikei
Thank you for the reply, i will speak to this company in the midlands J and R cv joints, to see if they can refurbish them for me, if i send them up there
Also found on ebay the outer shaft kit, maybe i should get them and take it to the mechanic as i aint got a press to pull them out..
its a fun little car, doesnt get driven a lot maybe 100 miles a year... but missus don’t wanna sell it.. so ill have to get it done, all coz of the split cv boot :(

Also not related to it, but i do have a Mitsubishi Eclipse(DSM eagle talon) 4G63. mk 1, it was a pain finding the throttle body, as mine is struggling to start when its cold outside.... people on forums said its the FIAV, so finally managed to source one from poland, on ebay but i have to wait for the throttle body gasket to come from America...
Unless you know where i can source one out?
Thank you

4g63 engine cold start problem. was very common with lancer /galant/starion turbo etc. may well be same on yours. with completely cold engine remove trunking and you should see a cog and a quadrant shaped section. cant remember how exactly but you can loosen off to adjust till butterfly completely closed and tighten. as warms up opens and revs decrease to idle. should solve your issue
