Ladies, Gentlemen,
None of the above,
My name is Marc. Just like many of you, i'm a kei car addict. My addiction went so bad, it actually lead me to leave my home country - the hexagon across the channel - to move to the UK in order to get my Kei car "fix" (importing japanese cars in France is crazy difficult and expensive).
As the title suggest i'm the proud owner of a Daihatsu Mira Gino S. For those scratching their head trying to figure out what this is, you will find a photo of my car below, it was taken at the place i bough it from in Osaka. For those that are interested, I will go into the detail of my car in the near future (need to take some decent pics first)
I've decided to join this forum after a lovely young lady knocked a the window of my car this morning at the british motor museum & asked if i would like to join her Kei car sect. (from what i've understand she is the founder of this place ??)
Anyway that's all for now.
PS: This isn't actually the reason why i've moved to the UK

Very, very nice. Is it the n/a 660 or the turbo? Or is it the 1 litre?
And do you want to sell it yet?

It's a 660 turbo (the 1000 was never available as a 3 door).
No, i'm not going to sell it anytime soon...

Ah yes, hadn't noticed it was a three door. Nearly bought a turbo one myself, they're a lot smoother with 2 wheel drive than my old Mira Classic was with the 4 wheel drive gearbox (and a lot better looking!). Plenty quick enough too.

Mine is a 2wd auto. It's plenty smooth but i would of prefered a manual one. But in 3 door turbo they are basically inexistant.
I never quite understood why 4wd is a "thing" on kei cars. For this kind of power it's more dead weight to carry than anything else.

I guess it's just a Jap thing. They try and cram the maximum amount of technology into everything, but more often than not it ruins the character of the car/bike! My old 1.0 Cuore was probably the best car I've ever had, no power steering, wind up windows, just really basic. All I really wanted was air-conditioning!
