Well.... I reckon after making good all the faults like the poor paint job on the arches and bonnet front.. odds and sods of surface rust to attend to.. I am gonna follow you guys advice and do the Glanza Intercooler, Turbo timer and all that jazz. induction kit and eventually a Longlife exhaust. and generally clean it up and run it for a year to see how I like it,
Keep it cheap n cheerful.. pretty much stock I think..Try to do as much maintenance as poss myself. I haven't got loads of mechanical expertise so I am kinda cutting my teeth on this and light refurb of my Delica as I bought this to take my van off the road..
I gotta say from the short little drive I have had in it so far... can you have any more fun in a car for such little cash? I mean I know I could pick up an impreza or Evo for similar cash even a massive jag, 7 series Beemer or Audi s8 but they cost a fortune to run and insure.. I can only see this car as being a massive win all around.
Gonna try to document renovating this obvious future classic "Excuse the cheesey statement"

Yeah mate, preventative maintainance is the key. Stick an oil flush in the engine and get it red hot before dropping the oil, that will get rid of most of the crap in there. Then just change every 3k. Turbo timers are good as well, will help the turbo last. Get a decent boost gauge so you can keep an eye on things.
Mine still makes me smile when I put my foot down!
