emo L512s (JB-JL) Clutch Kit?

More

Hey everyone,

The clutch has started to slip on my Mira and I was wondering if anyone knew of a part number for a clutch kit that's available in the UK?

I've got a part number from Blue Print (ADD63037) for a complete clutch kit but was hoping someone else on here can confirm that this will be correct for the vehicle, so that I don't end up pulling it apart to find that it doesn't fit.

Thanks!

Mark

the one you listed is for a 0.8 move 3 CYL
you need a ADD63043 KIT
have emailed you the pictures

Thanks Mikei!

So, going off your emails...

This is what I need:

With the ADD63125 disc?

What I don't understand is that if the clutch kit that I was initially looking to get from Blue Print (ADD63037) is for a Move 0.8, then surely it would be the same as the one you're suggesting to me? Since if yours can also fit a 0.8 Cuore, then it would fit a Move too? (Same engine and gearbox).

My only issue is that the ADD63043 kit that you're suggesting seems impossible to get hold of!

63043 and 63037 are actually the same kit if you break down the individual part nos for disc cover and bearing
I have no idea why they list it like that
so 63037 will fit and is easier to source

Thanks for that. Have you used one on any of your Mira Classics before?

Going to be changing my rear main seal (or flywheel oil seal, depending on what you call it) whilst I'm stuck in there. KP Gasket will have them back in stock on July 1st, so I'll be ordering one then and waiting for delivery from Malaysia. In the meantime, I'll see if I can get one of those Blue Print clutch kits from a local motor factors, so if it doesn't fit I'll be able to return it.

hi mark none of mine have needed a clutch in my ownership however I think superspat may have changed the clutch and gearbox in blue mira when in his ownership.
if I recall yours is also a 4x4 so I'm hoping it is the same clutch kit
whilst you are in contact with kp gasket can you find out about an uprated head gasket for the efrl engine thanks

Received my flywheel oil seal from KP Gasket a little while ago, but haven't got round to fitting it yet.

My clutch currently feels okay and hasn't slipped for a few months. I guess it might have slipped a few times from lack of use? I'm unsure.

I do still need to change it though, I think. Just for peace of mind sake. However the car is currently my daily as I've ran into problems with the diff on my Compact and I'm unable to tax another E36 that I've purchased as a daily, since I'm waiting for the DVLA to send out a new V5C.

So it'll have to wait for a little while longer. I'll let you know once I decide to do it!

Clutch kit is the same as a 800cc Mira. Blueprint do the clutch and pressure plate but not the release bearing. I had a big job just getting the release bearing. I ended up buying 3 kits in the end in order to get the correct one. Just make sure you have the correct parts are replacing the clutch is a very time consuming job!
