daihatsu mira classic 4wd turbo
Hi there, I have a Daihatsu Mira turbo 650cc 4wd
I don't know much about them so I've joined this forum to try and find out what its worth?
Its a 1999 reg (v reg) and has a few goodies such as turbo timer, leather, bilstein shocks/springs all round, dump valve, hks mushroom air filter.
Apparently only 50 made?
any info would be appreciated
I've got a man who wants to buy it from me and keeps asking daily, could someone give me a rough idea what it's worth? It runs and drives perfect everything works, although it's been sat for a few years and the sills are rotten through. Have lots of old receipts and MOTs, Any help would be great
It's hard to say without seeing it.
Any noises that shouldn't be there?
Any oil leaks,
How much rust is there(especially sills, bonnet, subframe, and arches)
Has it got MOT?
When was it last serviced?
There were a lot more than 50 4wd Miiras made, however I'm unsure how many classics were made.
From what I've seen previously for avanzatos, price wise for a good condition ready to drive away one you would be looking at £1500-£2000
For non mot'd Zato with a lot of rust I would say £500-£1000(depending on how bad rust is)
However I've not seen many classics sell so it would be hard to put a price on.
Those prices are just my thoughts and not everyone may agree.
But at the end of the day it is your car so ypu can sell it for however much you want
Hope that helps dude, and good luck with the sale (^_^)
Thanks for the reply mate, the rest of it seems ok, but the sills have big holes in so definitely needs 2 sills, no bad noises, I really like how nice it drives, very smooth, etc, no mot due to sills need doing so I haven't tried, not sure when last service was I haven't really looked in the history or receipts
This guy has offered £450 as is and I'm just not sure whether that's enough, I don't have much time to get it done really.
Again all help is appreciated

Yeah, I definitely wouldn't accept £450 for it.
In all honestly without seeing it, I'd probably say around £1500-£2000 without rust, £1000-£1500 with the rust (providing it drives perfectly). Though seeing the condition would help a lot.
There were definitely a hell of a lot more made than just 50, considering how many seem to be about in Malaysia and Japan. I think only a handful were ever imported to the UK, though, and I believe there are only a couple still around on the roads now.
65,000 miles is pretty darn good for that age. Mine's an S reg (1998) Mira Turbo and that's just rolled over the 90,000 mile mark.
I'm not an expert on pricing these by all means, just going by what I bought my Mira for/others that I've seen for sale.
Hope this sort of helps!

Thanks for reply mate, see a few people have said the same as you and some have said they rot bad and if its been sitting for 3 years the chances are it's rotten and probably worth about 300 so I'm not sure, it needs to go really so I may just say give me 500 and take it away as a few people have said 500-1000 for rusty one.
Surely the best thing to do would be to take some pictures of the car including all the rust and post them on here. Then we could all have a look and give you a better idea of what it's worth.
Where abouts is the car? I could be interested myself.
I'm in Kent, and time's kind of running out, this guy wants to know by the weekend and I don't get time to get under it, I could stick my head under there one night but people will want to see it all fully, also I kind of want to get it out the way now, my contact number is 07871614748 if anyone wants to contact
