I'm wanting to order a MLS head gasket for my engine for my 2nd engine rebuild. Who would be interested in a  group buy? If I order 5 or more then they will of course work out cheaper. I have been quoted  $120.00 approx plus shipping for one item. 

Getting a standard replacement gasket for this engine is difficult and very expensive through a diahatsu dealer



oil and filter change *16/01/10 *27/08/10 *06/11/10 *16/04/11 *17/12/11 *17/03/12
Timing belt and tensioner and Alternator belt change 11/06/11

im running the ef-rl and got 1 in my zato at the mo and second engine thats done 17,000miles but already got a my zato has the ef-rl in it and got a spare with 17,000 miles on the clock but i got a full gasket set and 1.5mm multi layer steel head gasket so not really needing another gasket as when my engine goes pop gonna swap over to spare engine and rebuilt the blowen engine

I got the 3 cylinder also.

I have mine in bits at the moment undergoing full rebuild and tuning.

Cool - Thought I recognised your focus in one of your earlier posts, I've seen it over on passionford and time attack etc.

How far are you planning on going with your zato, will you look at developing any parts or mapping??

Hi Ben, my Zato is my daily drive, since the Focus became a track car. My Zeto has covered over 200 000km  so I have stripped the engine, ported and flowed the head (just need my gasket set from red-k to rebuild the head), the block has no measurable wear, so just a hone.

I will do a project thread for it soon.

Whats the cost for the metal head-gasket vs the normal gasket? and did u upgrade ur braking system? and wat type of turbo u runing?
