£17k is just silly if you ask me. You can buy an ecoboost westfield for arounf £4k nowadays IIRC. I think the K6A is quite a nice idea though; my dad has a Westfield with an old Crossflow which is only 100bhp and plenty fast.

Now if only I could get my beat down to 500kg...

Yes it would but then it would be in competition with existing models. Great for owners to mod after purchase though.
