Help with Cappo
Hiya Kel and welcome
What you describe certainly isn't right and isn't something I've heard other Cappo owners complain of. I'd say a thorough inspection is needed. Hopefully it will be something simple.
With the other problem of the steering wheel not self centring and possibly the pulling to the left, I would get the tracking checked. Does there seem to be any uneven tyre wear at all? The Cappo doesn't really have heavy steering so it could well be the rack that's the problem...
Previous accident damage is a possibility too of course.
Hope you get it sorted soon as the amazing handling of a Cappo is what makes it so fun.
The steering is improving now... car was sat for over four years in a garage, so could of been seized up bushes ect, notice today the rear passenger wheel has negative camber, didnt notice anything unusual underneath but wouldnt know what to look for. Ill get some pic's posted soon.
Well yes that's not going to help The Cappo is quite sensitive to tyre pressures which are very low compared to other cars - 23psi on the standard fit tyres so these would be worth checking too.
I'll PM you some useful info over on ClubCappo.
Don't forget to say hello in the newbies section!
Your cappo looks lovely, it could be the sun shining on the screen (not complaining about the sun you understand), but it doesn't look like the other red ones I've seen. It looks like a candy red sort of colour. It's very nice anyway!
Like Andy said, first thing to do is to check your tyre pressures... it's free (at the supermarkets)! And always the best place to start!
After that I guess it's thinks like bent wishbones, linkages, leaky shocks and so on...
Hopefully Andy can help you narrow it down
