Loose wing mirror glass
If I remember rightly it's more like the system on the Beat than the Cappo. You need to rotate the mirror to it's maximum adjustment to get at the securing screws behind it in the shrll. It's a bit of a pig to do and would be easier with the mirror assembley off the car.
I didn't think the glass is meant to move at all?!? You adjust the wing mirror itself? or am I wrong.... think I might go poke it a bit more hehe
im sure its the same design as most newer car, there is a plastic ball and socket design holding the mirrow base in place, if your feeling brave ajust the mirror all the way to 1 side and have alook in there, if there is a base plate mounted to the motorise mech then its prob just pull it as hard as you can and it should pop out, well thats what i did on my bmw and it worked, but dont just do it casei said to, im impatient and got angry with it but it worked for me.
if the glass bit has detached its self from the base them some double sided stick tape will work a treat
Sadly it's not like new mirrors at all. You can't adjust the glass, you adjust the wing mirror itself. So can't move it to see inside... not sure if the pictures help but the glass it fixed (well the driver's side at least haha)
(Yes I know she looks a bit of a mess again, the spiders held a rebellion, but we're planning a counter attack soon).
I think I remember now. The case doesnt split, it's somehow moulded round the glass itself. you need to remove the mirror from the car, dismantle the ball joint/adjuster thingie (under the ridged plastic sleave) then you should be able to get the socket end off and squirt some glue in there to stop the miror moving about. I did say it was a pig of a job
