Would like something nice on my alto.
I am looking at some lowering springs to drop front 35mm and rear 30mm
I'm running 145/70R13
Alto I believe has a 4x100 PDC.
I have a 1998 model
any suggestions on rims?
I'd rather stick to the 13s if possible as if go bigger will kinda cancel out the lowering springs I have planned for it.
Some renaults are 4x100?
is this true?
maybe can look for some clio rims etc or VW caddy that might fit?
No, you can still go for larger diameter rims as the profile of the tyre is reduced to keep the same arch gap as standard.
If you want to stick to 13" just make sure there is a tyre you like in that size. Tend to be more available at 14" plus.
I'll have to look in to Renault rims. The other thing to bear in mind is the centre bore size. Not a problem if you buy rims with a larger centre bore as you can just fit spigot rings. The problem comes if the centre bore of the new wheel is too small as there is nothing you can do about that. Might be an idea to take one of the current wheels off and measure it to be on the safe side as I haven't found it listed for the Alto.
