Hi there!
I'm a fan of keicar and I hope that I can make new friends & connection from keicar lovers all around the world through here. I'm driving a perodua kancil @ nippa and using the ef-jl from daihatsiu mira l200s engine nut recently i've already change the short block with ej-ve for longer stroke n more power. Thanks!

I also have a Move l900 as my daily btw

Hi there and welcome!

Fantastic looking Kancil. How much power is it making?

I briefly had a Perodua Nippa (UK specification) with an ED-20 which I don't think was available in the Malaysia market.

Looking forward to seeing your activity on the forum!

Hi there

Thanks a lot
Well to be honest the power of my kancil is a bit below my expectation (based on the last time I hit dyno) which only ended up with 162hp @ 7500rpm with 25.2psi of boost. Compared to my 2016 setup with a bit higher camshaft duration (280 degree both sides) it can goes up to [email protected] 7500 with the same amount of boost. It feels great with this much of power but it is hard to drive on daily basis since the engine idling timing is too low. We are currently upgrading the internals and I will update when we got the result later.

165bhp is crazy! How does it drive? Must be quite a handful? :)

It is quite handful when i boost but I love the way it feels which for me worth the effort..:)
here is my setup:

Stock ef-jl 12 valve sohc head
Daihatsu HD-E throttle body
565cc x 3 injectors from Imprezza
1.8mm EJ-VE/DE metal head gasket
Internally stock EJ-VE/DE short block( but I re-do all the bearing clearance)
Banana turbo maifold (custom)
TD04HL 16t compressor wheel with td04L subaru core & turbine shaft
Td04 from 4g61 compressor housing & td04-09 from 4d56 turbine housing ( I'm a small time turbo customizer btw)
E-manage blue
turbosmart ultra-gate 38mm wastegate
FMIC

Here I show u the 286hp kancil (2008/2009/2010 overall champion in Sepang Drag battle)
I hope i can build something like this 1 day :)

That's pretty insane! Mine only makes around 70hp haha!

I would love to see a build thread in our Daihatsu Mira section of he forum if you do choose to build a drag Kancil!

I think you guys in Malaysia are the craziest at Kancil/Mira builds B)
