Gasket kit for JB-JL, incl valve stem seals and 10 new head bolts.

valves are in good cond , considering the amount of crap in this engine.

How is it possible to clean under this baffle plate, without leaving some gunk behind to damage a rebuilt engine?

If you do decide to go for the front mount option, let me know! I've got a friend in Aus that should be able to take the Arc intercooler off your hands rather easily. ;) I've always wanted one, it's just difficult to find one in decent condition.

Sorry Mark, after much head banging i have ended up with this combo , you have to look hard to see it's not JB-JL.


going to be a lot more driveable now with the smaller turbo and i have targeted only 60-70kw for this little car, which will still make it fun and economical.The jb/jc combo was a mismatch, without having the crank and rods to go with it. In something like this move ,that combo would be a pain in traffic anyway, as this is destined to be my new daily.

The RHF4 won't become obsolete as its going into my 1.0L sirion/storia.


turbo pipes/hoses intercooler ,airbox etc are from a cross 4 storia the manifold is an EF-DET item and after a trial fit awhile ago, it all bolts where it should.This is my next project car.

Hello guy's, Have not posted for a while time for an update. Finally got around to removing the engine/trans.


Have decided to fit the big block EJ 989cc and 4/speed auto to the move and turbocharge it will finish up with a lot more torque and that's more suitable for something like this move rather than the high revving small capacity JB-JL which is more suited to the lightweight Mira shell. Auto because it should be able to handle the extra torque of a turbocharged EJ and where the 5FMT Move/Mira box has proven to fail.

Donor engine trans looms etc from very clean 98 Sirion 92,00klms.

Koyo radiator with the turbo cool line fitting on the top tank and auto trans fittings on the bottom tank,a new factory cap and new washer/coolant bottle set for the L602s which has the washer bottle combo on the left which allows room for the airbox on the right.

In order to achieve the 4x100 stud pattern at the rear,I trial fitted the Sirion brake drum which unfortunately is a tad to large. I now know the L700 drum is smaller so I need to have a look.

Fitting the EJ/Auto no longer requires me to keep the Move as light as possible, now i can fit all the electrics woodgrain and leather. picked these up on yahoo today .
