Yeah, it's perfectly straight. No scrapes on the corners either. I don't think it's even had a chance to be in a crash, since its only done 32,000 miles. B)

In that case I would be tempted to wet sand the panels that are bad down when weather is better and spray it like you did with the zato as you did a good job on that.

I could potentially do that. Though I'm still not sure how long I'm going to be keeping the car. If it turns out to be relatively long term (say 2 years or something) then there's a good chance I'd want to change a lot of the body parts for JDM L200 Mira parts.

Something like this would be cool (it actually started out life as a Nippa/Kancil - you can tell since it's a 5 door):

That's the Mira Moderno body kit with an additional front lip, Avanzato bonnet and side skirts for a 5 door.

But like I said, it all depends on whether or not I'd be keeping the car. Panels are cheap from Japan at least. It's just the shipping that might sting. Though saying that, my front wings for my Zato were fine. B)

I still need to get it running properly first, though.

Picked up Scott's L5 Avanzato wheels yesterday, so they'll be going on soon enough. Two completely bald tyres and two winter tyres, so for the time being I think I'm going to get a pair of matching part worn tyres for the front and keep the winter tyres on the back. Little bit of kerb rash on the front, but that's not a problem.

Gave the interior a thorough cleaning and it's come up well. There was a layer of muck over absolutely everything, but giving it a thorough wipe over seemed to do the trick. The front seats still look awful though. I think the sunroof leaks which would explain the staining on the seats. Hopefully it's just blocked channels, so I'll have a look at that at some point.

Hi mark might work better if you put the winter tyres on the drive axle (front) is this car one of the pair that were being sold in a lot if so did you get the red one as well

True, I'll probably do that and see if they're still balanced correctly. If not, I'll switch the winter tyres to the back. And yeah, it was the one sold in a pair with the red one, but I didn't take it since it was impossible to fit both on the trailer. I believe it's still for sale though. Needs a new timing belt and one of the pulleys (I believe a bearing has gone), but he only wants £40 for the entire car.

Cleaned up the set of Avanzato wheels today. They came up pretty well! Need to attend to a scuff on one of them though.

Thanks Sarah! Progress is slow, but steady at least. B)

On the move again...

Still reluctant to move/start it, considering the condition of the timing belt. A new one is on order though.

Had a bit of a thorough nose around underneath. It's all rust free (where it matters) and is pretty mint.

New wheels going on

Definitely improves the look of the car!

Gave the engine bay a quick clean up as well

I also cleaned out the channels for the sunroof, but it appears that the glass isn't sitting completely flat against the seal. We'll see what happens when it rains, I guess!
