The car's been running well for a while now, so I thought I'd get a couple of bits and bobs to make it a little bit nicer again.

Double DIN tray/slot thing. No idea how this attaches to the interior, but we'll give it a go.

Burger tray/drinks holder thing. Got to somehow attach this to the dashboard.

A new set of used mats (mine are currently falling apart). These should clean up nicely.

Cheap bleed valve. Planning on upgrading to an electronic boost controller in the future, but I'm curious to see what I can get out of the turbo before hitting boost cut. A boost/limiter cut ECU is on the cards at some point in the future as well.

Hopefully it should all arrive soon-ish. B)

So, apparently I can't stop buying little bits and bobs for the interior of my car...

I haven't even received the other items yet as I'm waiting for these things to arrive at the Buyee warehouse so I can consolidate the shipping into one package.

Wooden handbrake handle to match the other wood effect interior bits I've got:

Scuff plates:

And these because they were cheap.

No idea where my boost controller is though. Currently waiting for Demon Tweaks to respond to my email asking about it.

Thanks guys! That means a lot. I guess I’m just trying to restore the car to its former glory (and hopefully make it a bit better in the process). Definitely slowly, but progress is steady at least.

Apparently I’ve still got to wait another week for my boost controller to arrive. Even though I ordered it two weeks ago.

A friend and I are going to be treating the chassis this week. Removing any existing surface rust before protecting it, ready for the winter. Sills and rear arches will be treated in the next couple of weeks, since I don’t want to be “chasing rust” for the rest of the time that I own the car. They’re not bad by any means, but I want to ensure that the problem is eradicated before it becomes an issue (currently got a little bit of paint bubbling on the rear arches, and some light surface rust on the sills. The arches have been repaired in the past, but obviously not to a great standard).

It’s not exactly something that I’m looking forward to doing, since I absolutely despise any form of rust removal, but it’s necessary, so it’s going to have to be done. Hopefully I won’t lose the TR-XX Twin-Cam 16v stickers near the rear arches, but I suppose that all depends on how bad they are under the paint. Hopefully the paint blends well where it’s going to be resprayed, but we’ll see how it turns out I guess.

Finally got my boost controller after a month of waiting for it. I'm not exactly impressed with Demon Tweek's service, even though they've delivered on time for me in the past.

Should be going on soon when I receive my parts from Japan.

Thanks Dave, I'll PM you about those.

On another note, the stuff from Japan is now sat in customs. Now I've got to wait and see how much customs decide to charge me...

After receiving my package from Japan, I'm pleased to say that I'm more than happy with the contents! Hopefully all of that stuff will be fitted before the new year, but for the time being I've only added one thing.

That being the floor mats. They were pretty filthy and covered in JDM dirt, but they cleaned up well! They definitely improve the look of the inside of the car. :)

Chassis still needs to be treated, so that's on the agenda next. Needs to be done ASAP, really. Also noticed a completely split upper rear spring seat cover, so that'll probably be changed when the chassis work is being done.

Also received my replacement TR-XX Twin Cam 16v Turbo stickers from Dave (thanks again!) so they'll be put on once I sort out the rear arches.

Nothing particularly exciting I guess. But small steps lead towards the bigger and more fun mods! B)

Car's going into a rust treatment specialist for chassis work tomorrow. The process seems quite good, they clean the chassis, treat any rust, and then neutralise/rustproof and protect the chassis as well as cavity wax injection. It's not the cheapest, but I really can't be bothered to do it myself since it's quite a pain in the butt.

Also, I've noticed my brakes are making some... Interesting noises. I've generally lost confidence in them, and even though the pads and discs were recently changed, as well as the rear shoes, cylinders, old fluid flushed and replaced, they still don't exactly feel amazing. They feel kind of wooden to be honest. I'm currently looking into getting the car taken off the road so I can get the brake calipers completely rebuilt by Bigg Red in Worcester, as well as removing the engine so I can get the subframe and engine bay treated for rust and repainted, some new performance engine mounts from Thailand, new clutch and any other hard to reach jobs.

But, in order to do all of that, I'll need something as a daily since my Mira is my only set of wheels at the moment. Having some discussions with a couple of people at the regarding my options. B)
