Oops - done it again :)
It seems every time I sell a Beat, after about 6 months I want another one, so last weekend I collected my 3rd
Not the tidiest Beat in the world - the paintwork is poor, it needs a new roof, normal wear on the drivers seat bolster and the clutch release bearing is literally screaming to be replaced.
On the plus side there is no rust in any of the normal places (or anywhere else for that matter), the engine is sweet and it drives really well, the radio buttons are all there and the floor mats are nearly perfect.
Roof and a new clutch are both on order and the rest will follow,,,
This is how I bought it

Nice buy! I've always had a soft spot for Beats. They're so good looking!
Any particular plans for this one?
1998 Daihatsu Mira L512 TR-XX Avanzato R4
1996 BMW E36 323i Compact
1998 Toyota Chaser JZX100
2000 Perodua Nippa L201 (Sold)
1998 Toyota Soarer JZZ30 (Sold)
No real plans just a general tidy up and get everything working properly, going o be using it as my daily so it needs to be spot on and watertight.
Took this yesterday, not a normal sight on a back street in Cardiff
Spent an afternoon in the sunshine cutting out a couple of dark tint perspex circles to replace the orange in the side repeaters, tedious getting them right but worth it. The hardest bit was polishing the cut edges - I know you can "flame" perspex to polish the edges but every time I've tried it I've had to start again
Car is starting to look a bit better too
