emo Rebuild Time

Having nearly killed the engine in the AZ-1 it's time for a full rebuild. The car has been with Tom (dughnutters) since KKITP 2010 but I've finally managed to get the new parts up to him yesterday so the rebuild wil be underway very soon  Main thing I was waiting for was a set of these - 698cc forged pistons.

there's also a new exhaust manifold

...and a whole stack of other stuff, vale stem seals, cambelt ect that might just as well be done while the engine is out.

I'm trying right now to source a performance clutch for it (it's not the same as the cappo one I've got and hoped would fit) and, hopefully, I'll be able to get one of those as well before the engine goes back together.

I'll keep this thread updated with progress

RB Motorsport (Skyline specialist) supply 'proper' OS Giken clutchs (not the oe spec ones on ebay) and list one for the Alto Works F6A.

http://www.osgiken.co.uk/racingclutches.asp?do=model&modelid=28&manname=Suzuki&modelname=Alto%20Works,%20Cervo

POA, but maybe cheaper than sourcing in Japan?

Could be worth a call?

Manifold came from yahoo.jp - no real make, just a company over there making them. Cost about £450 delivered which I thought was very good  Unfortunately when I bought it I didn't read the listing properly so I wound up with a K6A one as well (had to pay for both :( ), so if anyone needs a very nice, stainless manifold for a K6A get in touch.',

I'm hoping for 135bhp and 120Nm maybe a bit more but time will tell

Initially 1.45bar, taking it over 1.5 will mean a complete remap of the ecu and I certainly wont have the time for that once I get it back - I'll be too busy playing  I miss my car!
