I presume the Alto has a MAP sensor fitted in which case it would be easiest and probably best to tee into that as then your gauge is seeing what the ECU is seeing.

as Andy said - just tee into the line to the MAP sensor, it will also tell you exactly what the ecu is reading for the boost

Okay, is this the MAP sensor (Orange arrow)? and if so which of the 2 lines (Green arrows) should I use to T, or will either do??

this alto works has a boost controller fitted red tube top left corner is the  `t ` ed pipe

The orange looks like the MAP sensor with a vac pipe coming out of it, i've never tee'd into the MAP line as i've read stories about the boost gauge bleeding off pressure the MAP sees which can affect the AFR's. Probably only very slight but most cheap gauges tend to leak over time...

Where the car for sale has the red line T'd is where GRUSS suggested earlier on to mount the T. I will give it a go tomorrow when I get back from work and see how it all pans out.
