emo Alto Works Issues

The EM light is definately to do with the speedo not working - suzuki like to warn you that they can't cut the engine if your doing more than 84mph! Assuming it's the same as the AZ-1 (I think it is) the  speedo sender is on the top of diff, not sure if it's mechanical or electronic though. If it's mechanical check the cable, if it's electrical start tracing wires and looking for breaks or corroded conectors.

Hello and welcome by the way

welcome aboard!
im really happy  you've joined actually - your car is very similar to our carol in many ways (we were thinking about swapping in an alto works engine/box etc at one point.).
i actually spent the weekend cleaning all the connectors on our autobox to try and sort out a minor niggle ours has - it'd be great to compare notes at some point as the cars share pretty much everything (although yours has the turbo!).

i think we may be looking at a speed sensor problem with ours too - sometimes it will stick in 3rd or 1st gear for no reason then suddenly change and all is ok again. it only does it once or twice a day, usually after about 10 mins of driving time and only for 30 secs or so.

Thanks for all the assistance. I will check the areas you've all highlighted over the weekend and see if I cna trace the fault. I must say a big thanks as so much support on this site, it's very helpful.

Once the car is sorted i hope to get along to the meets and swap stories and see more of these fantastic tiny rides
