What's the best way of getting a little more umph out of my alto? It's already got an induction kit and cat back, I'm thinking a decat, can they be mapped?

i very much doubt the ecu can be mapped mate, like most toyotas, daihatsu, but i could be wrong,
it depends on how much you wanna spend mate, if you dont want to spend any money then bash out your cat to make a decat and remove as much weight as possible, the decat will help the gasses flow quicker and will normaly raise the boost by 0.1/0.2 bar

or if you want o spend money , a larger top mount intercooler or better yet a smallish front mount intercooler but try to keep the pipe work short as possible, and good electronic boost controller, not a gizmo or any crap like that, blitz dsbc or greddy profec spec 2 work very well as running both on my miras
up the boost to the limit of the turbo or were it peaks and drops of boost , then when your board of that go for a 255 fuel pump, rising rate fuel reg, hybrid turbo and a fcd if your on a budget if not a emanage or apexi safc

What pressure can the turbo safely handle? It's on half a bar now and just any front mount that would fit?

I don't know what pressure the standard alto turbos could take, but at a guess I would say you could safly up that to at least 0.7bar

Intercooler wise any intercooler that you can make fit should be suitable, just try and get an intercooler that has the closest match to your inlet and outlet from the engine (^_^)

with a larger intercooler it will have safe fueling up to the fuel cut, but not sure what level that would be on yours, i would deff decat tho as it helps so much
i used this on my classic and its perfect for the standard turbo and not to big

Could say as there is no meassurements for it or the in/out pipe work diameters, I'm guessing it would be to long tho, it would help if you removed the front bumper so we could see we're the turbo sits, if the rad/a/c rad is in the way and we're you feed the pipe work as buying the intercooler is the easy bit, the pipe work is the hard part that will cost a fair bit,
Bleed valves are not very good at all mate, intact they are wank, a dawes device (ball and spring) are ok but I've never had much luck getting stable boost with thenbut iI guess if ur only raising the boost by 0.2bar it will work and can be had for £15 of Ebay new

shit the bed, that is crazy boost, what they dotn tell you is tho if there is any type of extra fueling or ecu in there, there will be a fuel cut built in to the car mate, and once the car reaches a certain it will cut the fuel (feels like you hit a brick wall/car jolts hard and emu light will flash on) i would spend a bit of time googleing and see what they car run, but as daz said upping to 0.7 will be more than ok, in therory the car will have enough fuel to compensate for the boost up till the fuel cut but .7/.8 should be nice a safe, if you have dyno near you get a boost controller nad pop down and get it on the dyno and up the boost till its not fueling saftly or detting
