Had my 1994 Suzuki alto works delivered yesterday morning down at a mates garage. I've never seen one in the flesh so didn't really know what to expect. I'm a very happy man though as its in better condition than I thought. I bought this on a spur of the moment as I had previously talked myself out of it but in the end decided to go for it.

Enjoy the pictures!

It's probably not been washed in years and the paintwork was covered in grime, it does have a few dings and little spots of rust but overall the general condition is probably better than my Mira!

Interior is in good condition, no tears in the seats etc. carpet wants replacing though... The car is very original and it's shame it's missing the original air box.

We had it on the ramp to give it a good checking over. It's never been undersealed and has the original floor paint. A little bit of surface corrosion but no rot which is the main thing.

The suspension springs have been cut so it does sit very low, however it does drive really nice and has electric power steering which is a very nice bonus!

Both of my kei kars together!

Today I've washed and 'jiffed' the paintwork which has brought it up a treat! I actully like it more than the Mira at the moment. It just looks proper cool and Japanese from the front lol.

My plans are to restore it back to its former glory and keep it all original. The boost is standard and doesn't have a boost gauge so I'll find out what it's producing.

All you guys and girls with 2 kei's.... Who do you use for insurance? I would like to keep both and run them together. I'm currently with diamond insurance consultants but they don't offer a 2 car policy.

Tado I'd love to see that workshop manual you have for the engine.

First jobs will be the mechanical side then I'll move onto the body work.  Plenty more to come!

My 30th birthday present to me lol

Happy birthdy to you!  Good present.

Really pleased it's gone to someone on here.. but plese tell me you're joking when you say you 'jiffed' it?!  Surely deserves a one over with a clay bar?

Enjoy, and please bring it alng next month.

Thankyou very much

I've had 4 previous white cars and have always used T cut to restore the paint but it's very abrasive and hardwork, I've been told about the jiff method and it really removes all the grime with minimal effort. This of course will be followed by a extensive clay bar session followed by a buff then sealing with extra gloss protection then lots of wax  :thumb:

The body is the last on the list though, plenty of other jobs to do before. I didn't fancy changing the oil with a semi hangover from last night though lol.

I have no idea about next month as of yet. Anybody have any ideas regarding the insurance situation?

Awesome car mate, and happy birthday.

Insurance - try Peter James and Footman James. I have 10 cars on my policy with FJ and have been told Peter James do similar. I'd be looking at Classic policies as well due to the age.

Yay! Congratulations, looks superb.

Our cars are all insured through Admiral multi-car. Very very cheap for them all, but we will probably have to shop around again in a year as last time they hiked up the price at renewal time. Give them a try anyway.
